I own a 2008 Scout Abaco 262. When I fill up the tank, i have a strong fuel smell. It dissipates after awhile but it is concerning. Also, when fueling it takes some time because I have to run the gas pump slow from keeping the fuel from coming back up the fuel line. Has anybody else had this issue or knows what it can be related too.
Sounds like the rubber fill tube from the cap to the tank has developed a leak probably from dry rot. Happened to me on older boat I had decades ago. Cheaper than a tank leak but both are difficult to repair.
